Self-Care & Movement

When you think of exercise, excitement is likely not the first thing that comes to mind. Many feel like it's complete drudgery.  Things like: "It takes too long", "it hurts", or the classic: "I don't feel like it" are the multiple excuses we've told ourselves to not treat our body better.

Movement is the one of best things for self-care.  Why? What if I told you there's something that will help you feel better, look better, aid in your vitals: blood pressure, heart health, energy.  Would you be interested? Likely.

Movement helps with ALL of the above.  The biggest obstacle? Getting started.  What to do, how to do it, when to do it.  Many questions.  Here's some answers:

1.  Check with your physician before you embark on a workout plan.

2.  For me, it was all about the walk. Walking literally saved my life.  I started small, and elevated to several miles per session.  It was free, easy, and most importantly: EFFECTIVE.

3. Life can be super busy and complicated. Look at your schedule and carve out at least 20 minutes for self-care (exercise). I will promise the more you do it, the more you will want to dedicate time for movement.

Always remember: You are 1 of 1. There will never be another YOU. Be kind and loving to you. That's all a part of self-care as well.
